Helene Budok a.k.a Hiponn Girl began her profession in showbiz industry in probably the most sudden manner. After auditioning as a contestant on GMA’s Wowowin segment, she managed to capture the viewers’ consideration especially the host Willie Revillame, who discover her very entertaining and charming.
After that moment, she then grew to become Wowowin’s co-host also referred to as Willie’s Angels along with Sugar Mercado, Donita Nose and many more.
Aside from her internet hosting events, Herlene additionally began her luck as an actress. Her first role was an OFW who fell inlove together with her employer in Magpakailanman.
That is where she proved that her talent as an entertainer doesn’t only limit on making people laugh, but making them cry their hearts out too!
Due to her dedicated and her hard work, she began having her personal properties and investments such as her personal home, vehicles and businesses!
On her interview with GMA Network, Herlene recalled how hard was life for her and for her family.
“Wala akong talent. Wala akong kahit anong talent. Kapal lang ng mukha ang nagdala sa akin dito. Kung may talent ako pero hindi naman makapal ang mukha ko, wala rin.” she admitted.
Harlene grew under the supervision of her grandparents. In keeping with the celeb, they are the main reason why she is working hard.
“Ako na lang daw ‘yung dahilan kung bakit sila masaya. Ayun na lang daw ‘yung inaabangan nila sa buong maghapon. Simula daw nung napasok ako dito, ako na lang daw ‘yung nagpapasaya sa kanila.” she mentioned.
Added Herlene, “Nadoble lang nung napasok ako dito pero nung hindi pa ako ganito, ako pa rin naman daw. Naging doble daw, naging inspirasyon na daw nila ako sa pang-araw-araw nila..”
She even talked about how she spend her first salary as a host, where she took her family to eat outside as per Willie’s advise.
Up till now, Herlene still grinds hard for her dream and her family and is at all times grateful for Willie’s once in a lifetime opportunity he had given her.
“Sobrang thankful ako kay Kuya Wil na binigyan niya ako ng chance na ma-try ko itong ganitong sitwasyon sa buhay. Dati extra-extra lang ako, ngayon naka-focus na ‘yung camera sa akin,”
